December-Analysis (Both Shifts)


There were 200 questions in the paper, which had to be answered in 120 minutes. There were five sections in all - Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language and Computer Knowledge.

Other than the fourth section, where in a candidate had to attempt the section in English Language, all the other sections were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi. Each question had 5 options. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question for all the sections.

On the whole the difficulty level of the examination ranged from easy to moderate. Numerical ability section and Reasoning section were time consuming and questions were comparatively tricky. Although the questions asked in Reasoning section on 8th December were comparatively easier than those asked on 7th December. English and Computer Knowledge sections were easy. General awareness section was moderate.

Reasoning 

This section was a bit time consuming. The level of questions ranged from easy to moderate to even tricky for sitting arrangement questions. There was no question from Non-Verbal Reasoning just as IBPS PO-III Exam. Sitting Arrangement and Puzzles were time consuming.

The pattern of this section was in line with the previous exam conducted in Clerical Cadre. The level of the questions was easy. Rearrangement, error spotting, cloze test, phrases were all easy to attempt. With a little practice one can easily score good in this section.

This section contained one to two DI, problems on number series, simplification and word problems. DI and number series were easier than word problems that consumed a lot of time. This sections was calculative and the level was moderate.

General Awareness
This section too was easy to attempt. Banking and Economy dominated this section. Nominal number of questions was asked from current affairs. The question were mainly asked from the following topics- Electronic Clearing Service, Money market, Repo Rate, Share market, cheque, lending rates, books and authors etc.

Computer Knowledge 

This section was based on basic knowledge of computers. Questions were very easy. The main areas from which questions were asked are: MS Office, Application Software, Hardware, Software, and Input-Output Units.
