National Affairs
  • To boost tourism industry in the state, Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to start cable car service for the Shiv Khouri shrine in Reasi district.
  • Sonia Gandhi launches Ahimsa Messenger program to address violence against Women and Children.'Ahimsa Messenger' programme would spread awareness to the grassroots about the legal rights of women and children.

  • Senior officials from Pakistan and China today discussed various aspects of multi-billion dollar economic corridor project that envisages the construction of a 200 km-long strategic tunnel through the rugged PoK region.
National Affairs
  • Keen to get the investment cycle re-started, the Cabinet Committee on Investment (CCI) has cleared three dozen projects envisaging an investment of Rs 1.83 lakh crore.
  • In a move to create more jobs in the state West Bengal government is planning to give licenses for setting up distilleries and bottling plants.
  • Rs 1,500 crore science research project to study atmospheric neutrinos in deep underground cave, taking shape at village near Madurai (TN).
