  • The United States and China agreed to keep up a tough sanctions regime on North Korea amid warnings that the reclusive nation is still managing to pursue its nuclear program.
  • Israel denounces Iran's call to acknowledge its nuclear weapons, accusing HassanRouhani of diverting attention from Iran's nuclear work.
  • Iran and six world powers have headed into nuclear talks at the United Nations with US officials tamping down expectations of any quick breakthrough.
  • The IMF approved Friday a standby loan of nearly 2 billion euros ($2.7 billion) for Romania, to match a backup loan of the same size requested from the European Union (EU).
