IBPS PO III Exam Analysis 19th Evening Shift & 20th Both Shift

Dear Readers,

Please find below the analysis of all other shifts of IBPS PO III Exam. viz Evening 19th October and both shifts of 20th October. The subsequent shifts were comparatively tricky as compared to the first shift of 19th October

19^th Evening Analysis 

Overall the examination was of difficult level. Even more difficult than last year’s examination. The questions in Numerical Ability, Reasoning and English were lengthy and time consuming. Most of the questions were asked in a different manner and the options were tricky. General awareness and Computer Knowledge sections were moderate.

Reasoning 

It was difficult as compared to previous year’s questions. There was no question from Non-Verbal Reasoning. Syllogism, Sitting Arrangement, Puzzles and Input-Output were time consuming. The details of the section are as follows:

English Language
Questions on Comprehension were tricky and time consuming. There was one Reading Comprehension passage with 15 questions. Idioms and phrases were not trouble-free. Rest of the section consisted of Rearrangement of sentences, Error spotting and cloze test.

Numerical Ability
Questions on Arithmetic and Data Interpretation dominated this section. The language of DI was tough. The tables and pie charts were lengthy. Two out of four DIs were quite complicated.  Just like the morning shift exam, there were no questions from Simplification and Approximation. Rest of the questions, i.e. Mensuration, Profit and loss, Average, time and distance etc were of moderate difficulty level.  There were no questions from Probability or Permutations and Combinations.

General Awareness
This section was of moderate difficulty level as compared to the other sections. Banking and Economy dominated this section. Questions in Current Affairs were asked from International affairs as well as Indian Economy Questions related to RBI were given a special attention. Questions on currencies, capitals and days were not asked.

Computer Knowledge 
This section comprised questions of easy-moderate difficulty level based on basic knowledge of computers. The main areas from which questions were asked are: Windows, Networking, Hardware, Software, and History of Computers.

20^th Morning Analysis

Following the pattern of the previous day examination, the difficulty level of the questions ranged from moderate to complicated. Reasoning questions were moderate but time consuming. Numerical aptitude section was lengthy. General Knowledge, English, and Computer Knowledge sections were of moderate difficulty level.

Reasoning 

Analytical reasoning dominated this section. Syllogisms and verbal questions were easy. Sitting arrangement was time consuming.  There was no question from Non-Verbal Reasoning. This section primarily saw moderate level of questions.

English Language
Questions on Comprehension dominated this section. There were two Reading Comprehension passage with 10 questions each. The questions in this section were quite time consuming. Rest of the section consisted of Rearrangement of sentences, which was easiest in the entire section, Error spotting and Cloze test.

Numerical Ability
This section was as tough as previous year’s exam. Questions were tricky and time consuming. Questions on Arithmetic and Data Interpretation dominated this section. There were no questions from Simplification and Approximation even in this exam. Questions on Number series were complex. Mensuration questions were easier as compared to the rest of the section.

This section comprised questions of moderate difficulty level based on basic knowledge of computers. The main areas from which questions were asked are: DBMS, Networking, Internet, MS-Office, Hardware and Software.

20^th Evening Analysis

The difficulty level of the paper overall ranged from moderate to hard. Comparatively more difficult than previous year’s exam. Reasoning and Computer knowledge sections were moderate while Numerical Ability, English and General Awareness sections were hard and lengthy. Time management has emerged as a key concern for candidates appearing for IBPS PO III exam in this shift.

This section primarily saw moderate level of questions. Puzzle and Syllogism questions were easy. Input output questions were easy but time consuming. No question from Non Verbal Reasoning.

Numerical Ability

General Awareness
The maximum number of questions from this section were from Banking and Economy. These questions ranged from moderate to hard difficulty level.  Questions on current affairs were comparatively easy. This section was of easy-moderate difficulty level. Questions were asked about RBI, Monitory policy, schemes, Abbreviations etc.

Computer Knowledge
This section was comparatively easy. The questions had their main focus on the topics: Operating System, Networking, Hardware, Software, internet and DBMS.
