Meet the Gold Medal Winner of World Cup Shooting 2013 - Heena Sidhu

Indian woman shooter Heena Sidhu has created history by becoming the first pistol exponent from India to win a gold medal at the ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) World Cup finals in Munich, Germany. She won this award in in 10m Air Pistol event. Punjab born heena won this gold medal by defeating double Olympic Champion Guo Wenjun from China, world champion Arunovic Zorana from Serbia and multiple Olympic medallist Olena Kostevych of Ukraine in a stiff competition in the 10m Air Pistol. The ISSF World Cup is a prestegious competition for shooters. This was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It is held once a year and features only top 10 shooters of the world.
